Fuck Yea[h] NBA

“Denver was furnished with a short list of teams and told to get to work. Yes, this how William Wesley and Leon Rose of CAA work now, thick with threats and ultimatums and a swagger suggesting that the sport belongs to them. After Anthony told owner-in-waiting Josh Kroenke that he still wanted out of Denver during a Sunday meeting, the Nuggets appear done trying to sell their All-Star forward on a contract extension.”

This is where we’re at with the NBA.  It’s hard to feel sorry for NBA owners because they’re worth millions and in some cases billions of dollars, but the upper echelon of the league has hi-jacked the power.

It almost reminds me of the late 70’s when the ABA was folding into the NBA and the top players were really starting to make a ton of money and people were being overpaid, but now with the soft cap, and the limit on contracts, players are merely instigating where they want to play when their contracts expire.  Melo is simply following the lead set by ‘Bron and others.

I don’t know how I feel, but I’m certainly biased because if he joined Amar[‘]e and CP3 on the Knicks I think I might be walking around Harlem and the Flatiron district with a boner all the day every day.
