Fuck Yea[h] NBA
Derrick Rose is fed up with the lockout just like all of us. He’s particularly upset with income brackets of the involved parties. Claiming to see “no reason billionaires and millionaires should be arguing about money.”
He then says he’s considering playing overseas. I’m pretty sure everyone has been rumored with a club from Europe or Asia at this point, but he is the reigning MVP, so it’s news.
The hits keep on coming in this cauldron of crap we call an off-season. At least I have NBA Off-Season, and my hate for everyone. Misanthropic feelings keep me cool in the heat of summer, and warm in the cold of winter. It’s autumn, so I just read Keats and Frost.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
That poem used to remind me of the Lakers, but now it makes me think of the indefatigable negotiations we’re witnessing. Oh and the passage of time, but mainly this lockout.
