Fuck Yea[h] NBA

[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

It’s a testament to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s versatility when you can compose a quick video clip of highlights from their blow out victory over the Detroit Pistons last night in Oklahoma City, but don’t include their best player, Kevin Durant.

Watch as a I continue my love affair with James Harden (I even replayed one of his forays to the basket when he was coming down on 3 defenders and rather than pull it back out for his offensive helpers to arrive, he faked left before going right for the lay-in); show why Serge Ibaka is just as important to this team as a rebounder and and inside presence as their more popular offensive players: he gets two offensive rebounds in his clip and finally lays it in (Kendrick Perkins is teaching him well); and of course, Russell Westbrook’s explosive change of pace before a half court set, resulting in an easy dunk.

There’s no Durantula in these highlights, but the Oklahoma City Thunder don’t need his heroics every game, and they don’t even need his steady scoring every game. They’re almost too stacked, and not in that weird Miami way were LeBron and DWade seem to trip over themselves. More like a really well-balanced team with everything you need to win a championship.
