Fuck Yea[h] NBA

Great read from colunist Dave D’Alessandro at the Star-Ledger. In the piece he talks with various unnamed scouts about the best way to defend Jeremy Lin. The consensus is you have to make him hit threes and you should play zone if you can. Also. bang him with screens if he’s guarding an opposing 1 player (the Knicks will probably switch him to an off-guard since he’s a full 6’3” at 200 lbs). Also, nice Charles Oakley reference in regards to trapping out of a pick and roll situation. The image of Oakley bodying Lin on a trap is interesting, but Lin’s strong. Stronger than he looks.
There’s also a host of scout talk about how the abbreviated season has cut down on pick and roll traps and zone defenses because it would take practice to implement those things, and nobody has time to practice.
It’s a shame Allen Iverson couldn’t be in his prime for this season.
